What is Gelonade a cross of?
Both databases give the same pair: Lemon Tree and Gelato #41. Neither names who made the cross, so we leave the breeder blank. Leafly adds only that “Gelonade is a popular strain in California.” The Supplier gives no lineage for the lot we sell, so we follow the databases.
| Parent | Reported by | Our reading of the link |
|---|---|---|
| Lemon Tree | Leafly: also called Lemon Tree Kush; Lemon Skunk x Sour Diesel; “tastes like fresh lemons with undertones of diesel”; myrcene leads its terpene data | The lemon, and some of the fuel |
| Gelato #41 | Leafly: also called G41; Sunset Sherbert x Thin Mint Cookies, from the Cookies Family in California | The sweet, creamy side, and the vanilla AllBud tastes |
The name says the rest: Gelato plus lemonade. Our Gelato 41 file covers what the number after a Gelato name means.
Is Gelonade indica or sativa?
Sativa-leaning. AllBud calls it “a sativa dominant hybrid strain” at 70% sativa and 30% indica. Leafly files it as a hybrid and says its effects are mostly energizing. AllBud describes “a long-lasting head-heavy high” that leaves you “lifted and energized.”
What THC % is Gelonade reported at?
| Source | Figure | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Leafly | THC 22%, CBG about 1% | Leafly’s headline figures for the strain |
| AllBud | THC 22-26% | AllBud’s listed range |
The reported range is about 22% to 26%. Both numbers summarize other people’s samples. Neither one is a measurement of a Batch we sell. Our Gelonade Batch has no lab values on file yet, and the COA is sent on request.
On a hemp COA the large number is THCA, not THC. Labs compute total THC as delta-9 THC + (THCA x 0.877). A flower at 22% total THC with almost no delta-9 would read about 25.1% THCA (22 / 0.877).
What terpenes and flavors are reported for Gelonade?
Here the panel and the name agree. Leafly’s terpene data, which Leafly says is sourced from products tested in Leafly Certified labs, puts the citrus terpene on top:
| Terpene | Usual note | Rank in Leafly’s lab data |
|---|---|---|
| Limonene | Citrus peel | First |
| beta-Caryophyllene | Pepper, warm spice | Second |
| Linalool | Floral, lavender | Third |
| Pinene | Pine, fresh resin | Fourth |
| Myrcene | Earthy, musky | Fifth |
Lemon Tree leads with myrcene in Leafly’s data, so Gelonade’s limonene lead is not simply inherited from that parent. Only the terpene section of a Batch COA describes the jar you actually buy.
Flavor: Leafly’s top-ranked reviewer tags are ammonia, lemon and pepper, then citrus. Leafly’s write-up speaks of “fruity citrus and vanilla”. AllBud describes “a sour citrus lemon taste that’s accented by hints of vanilla cookies upon exhale” and an aroma with “a sweet vanilla overtone that turns sour and citrusy” as the buds are broken up.
Look: AllBud describes “grape-shaped minty green thick nugs with furry orange hairs” and purple-tinted trichomes.
What effects do people report from Gelonade?
Effects, as reviewers report them: Leafly’s top-ranked tags are energetic, talkative and focused, then uplifted and happy; its write-up says Gelonade “will make you feel like a social butterfly.” AllBud lists aroused, euphoria, sociable, tingly and uplifting. These are user reports collected by databases. They do not predict how any one person will feel, and nothing here is medical information or advice.

What changes for Gelonade THCA flower on December 11, 2026?
As of October 22, 2026, federal law defines hemp by delta-9 THC: 0.3% or less on a dry-weight basis (7 U.S.C. 1639o). High-THCA Gelonade can be sold as hemp on that basis, but only where state law allows it.
Section 781 of P.L. 119-37, approved November 12, 2025, rewrites the definition. Hemp becomes plant material with a total THC concentration, “including tetrahydrocannabinolic acid”, of 0.3% or less on a dry-weight basis. Sec. 2019 of H.R. 6500 applies that change, until December 11, 2026, only to products containing cannabinoids a cannabis plant cannot naturally produce. From that date, Gelonade flower in the reported 22-26% range stops being hemp nationwide. Not legal advice.
